The Farmers* Co-operative Auctioneering Company, report as follows: - At Waitoa on Tuesday April 6th. wc held a clearing sale on behalf of Mr James Walker. There was a good attendance and fair values were obtained right through. Massey-Harris binder made £2O 10s; tip dray £l4 10s; rotary plough £ls; disc barrows £7 to £8 ss; roller £l2; and other implements an tools similar rates; Lincoln ewes 15s €d; ram lambs 17s; ewe lambs 14s; crossbred ewes 12s to 12s 3d; wethers 10s lid; lambs 7s 7d to 13s M: 4 draught mares £29 to £3l; 2 fools £lO to £l2. On Wednesday, April 7th wc held a cleamig sale near Te Aroha on behalf of Mr Stanley Brown. There was a very large attendance, implements and horses selling well, but cattle and sheep being somewhat easier in price. We quote: roller £l2 10s; d.f. plough £lO 10s; drill £22 10s; reaper £l9; waggon £lB 10s; boggy £2O; gig £B. The crossbred ewes made from 12s 6d tol3sSd; wethers lis 3d; lambs 7s 5d to 8s; fresh empty cows £3 9s; medium draught unbroken horses 2 and 3 years old made from £lO to £18; medium draught farm mares £23 to £26; 2 stacks oaten sheaves £6O.
At Waihou on Thursday Btb inst. wc bad a yarding o' 891 sheep 48 pigs, and 540 head of cattle; of the latter 70 were fats which improved in price, especially for the few head of good quality off red. Choice fat heifers maed £5 15s to £6 4s; small fat steers £6 5-1 to £7 2s; fat cows £4 to £5 3s; aged fat cows £3 to £3 16«; bulls £3 to £4: 2* year steers £3 10s to £4; 2J year heifers £2 10s to £3 ss; 18 month to 2 year heifers 32s 6d to 455; yearling to 15 month steers £2 to £2 10s; good calves 20s to 28s; fair calves 18s; smaller lis to 14s: fat wethers 13s 6d to lis Id; fat ewes and wethers 1235; aged store ewes 5s 3d to 5s 6d; fresh conditioned empty ewes 8s sd; lambs small 6s Id to 6s 7d; good store iambs 9s 3d; weaner pigs 8s to 10s; silps 14s 9d to 18s.
On Tuesday, April 6th, >*c held our autumn cattle sale at Matierc, under rather adverse circumstances, when 1560 head of cattle were brought forward and offered. This number being much in excess of yard accommodation and the weather being squally the whole time, made the day anything bot pleasant. However, under the circumstances we had a fair sale. Forward conditioned grown steers made from £5 2s 6d to £5 17s; less condition same age cattle £4 7s 6d to £4 15s; fat and forward cows £3 10s to £4 8s: 2| year steers £3 5s to £3 lis; fresh condition 3 year steers £4 5s to £4 10s; good quality heifers in calf £3 to £3 10s: is month steers and heifers 30s to 355.
At Te Kuiti on Wednesday 1878 cacttlc and 1900 sheep were yarded. A good number of buyers attended and a very successful sale resulted. There was a good demand for grown bullocks in forward condition, the best making £5 10s to £6 14s: others £5 Is to £5 10s; choice 3 year steers £4 lOs to £5; 2 year steers £3 5s to £3 15s; 18 months steers £2 10s to £2 15s: fat cows £4 to £4 15s; forward cows £3 to £3 15s; store cows 30s to 40s; calves 20s to 295; choice 2| year heifers in calf £3 to £3 12s 6d; 18 month heifers £1 10s to £1 15s; store wethers 9s 3d to 10s 3d; lambs 5s 3d to Bs.

Wc held our fortnightly cattle sale am) a sheep fair at Ohaupoon Tuesday. April 6th, when wc penned 45*0 head of cattle and 6000 sheep Cattle were dull of sale but <heep were required by buyers present and. with the exception of two small lines, all were sold. We quote: 2* year steers £3 l?s to £4 2s 6d; 18 months do. in low condition £2 0s 6d; heifers £1 17s 6d to £2 Is; store cows up to £2 15s according to condition; calves XI to 24s 6d. Sheep —-Woolly lambs 6a 7d to 9s; shorn lambs ewes, 7s 7d to 9s 4d; do. wethers 5s 6d to 7s 3d; 4 tooth wethers lis lid to 12s 3d; 2 tooth do. 10s to lis 8d; 4 year ewes been with rams, 13s 6d to 14s sd; othsr full mouth ewes been with rams 7s 6d to lis 9d.
On Wednesday at Ngaruawahia we yarded 360 head of store cattle, and 58 beef, which, being required by butchcers present, were all sold at good prices. Fat cow* made £4 15s to £5 14s; heifers £3 10s to £5; according to weights; forward cows £2 15s to £3 4s; store do. £2 to £2 7s; empty 2J year heifers £2 lis to £2 16s; 2* year heifers in calf, £3; 20 months steers £2 9s to £2 15s; calves were in good demand and made better values than recent sates. Best calves 26s to 28s; others 19* to 22s 6d; dairy cows close to profit up to £6. At Hamilton on Thursday, we penned 276 fat sheep and lambs, 67 beef, and 160 store cattle. Bidding was rather dull for fat stock, but nearly all sold, and the stores changed hands at auction or afterwards.
