TE KUITI FIRE BRIGADE.

A general meeting of the Te Kuiti Fire Brigade was held in the Chronicle office last evening. Present: Messrs Nicholson, Chilcott, Pi Icon, F. ,Kcrr Allan, For). Williams. Waters, and Philips. Mr Phillips wa* voted to the chair. Proposed by Mr Allan, seconded by Mr Chilcott, that Mr Williams be appointed secretary. Carried unanimously. The correspondence was read and approved. Proposed by Mr Nicholson, seconded by Mr Allan, that the following new members be elected:- Fred. Kerr, J. Pitcon, F. Sutton, R. Fenton and N. C. Matthew.—Carried. The following officers were appointed:—Captain—Mr Ford. foremanMr Nicholson. Proposed by Mr Nicholson, seconded by Mr Ford, that an executive committee, consisting of the following members he appointed:—Messrs Phillips*. Waters, Matthew and Steel and that they work in conjunction with the finance Committee and the officers of tbebrigade.~Carrieo» Proposed by Mr Allan, seconded by Mr Chilcott, that a concert and dance be held at an early date, and that all members of the brigade act aa a committee.—Carried. Resolved the next general meeting be held on Wednesday, the 14 th inst, in the Chronicle office at 7.30 p.m. After discussing general matters in connection with the brigade the meeting closed, the customary vote of thanks to the chairman bavins; been carried.
