WAIPA RACING CLUB.
Annual Meeting. The annual meeting of the Waipa Racing Club was held at Te Awamutu on Saturday last. Despite the threatening weather there was a large attendance, including numerous visitors from the King Country. The meeting was well organised, all the details being well attended to by the energetic secretary, Mr G. Spinley. With respect to the racing, close finishes were the order of the day, and in most of th« events a fair number of horses faced the starter. Following are the results:— Handicap Hurdles. —Luminator 1, Waimotu 2. Greenhill Hnndicap.—Master Paul 1, Fraulejn 2. Te Awamutu Cup.—Jill 1, Lpoentte 2. Maiden Plate. —Tamahere 1, Emancipator 2. Hanidcap Trot.—Orange Blossom 1. Flying Stakes.—Rosewood 1, Master Paul 2.
