TE KUITI POST OFFICE.
Opening Ceremony
ThcA>pening of the Te Kuiti post office took place [this 'morning i» the presence of a large gathering of residents. Mr Jennings, member for the district, jierformed the ceremony of I declaring the office open, and congratu- j latcd the people on at least having a post office. The town was progressing
in a satisfactory manner and before very long there was little doubt a much more imposing edifice would be necessary for the business of the place. Mr J. Ormsby, Chairman of the Waitomo County Council, said while the people were glad to get a post office, it was hard to understand the reason for not providing a more up-to-date and commodious building. The residents felt that they were not being considered sufficiently in the matter and he trusted Mr Jennings would ren- ' der them all the assistance in his ' power towards getting a more suitable building in the near future. j ' M. t : m. .l ~ . . , I i
