Om- of the .simplest of ihc remedies usually resorted to is that of tying a rope, round the cow's leg l just above the ankle, and then securely i fastening it to a ring inserted in the wall at the back of the animal. When this rope is drawn up tightly the animal is unable to pull her leg up under her body, and the result is that sne is unable to kick. Another simple cure which is well spoken of consists of making a loop at one end of a rope, and passing the r?pc round the animal's body immediately in front of the hips and also a little in front of the udder, I and then tying the rope as to just press very slightly against the animal's body. This is said to be an unfailing core for cows badly given to the kicking habit.
