STOCK SALES.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report as follows:
On Wednesday of last week we held a sale at TeKuiti and yarded some 840 head o> cattle and 3300 sheep. There was a good attendance of buyers from all parts of the King Country and Waikato. Bidding for cattle was not brisk, but most of the lines -were quitted after the sale. The following prices were realised: —Fat to forwanV 4 year steers made up to £7 15s; fat cows, £4 12s 6d; 3 year steers, £4 12s 6d; 2 and 2£ year 20 months steers, £2 17s; Hfmonth steers, £2 to £2 ss; calves from 19s to 265. Sheep were dull of sale but were nearly all quitted . afterwards. Lambs made from 5s to 9s 9d; 2-tooth ewes 12s 6d to 14s lOd; fresh fullmouth ewes in good. condition 9s 9d; aged ewes from 5s 6d to 7s; wethers lis 6d. -..-•, ...
