DUNEDIN WOOL SALE.
The second wool sale of the season was held on Monday, when 20,3*6 bales were offered. The catalogue was a record for Dunedin. and the attendance of buyers was large and representative of all British. Continental. and Amercian centres. Buyers front New Zealand mills and fellmcngerie.., and speculators from ail parts of the Dominion, were present. The general quality of the clip was quite equal to that of last year. Bidding was animated throughout, and growers appeared highly satisfied with r.rir-e?, A noticeable feature of the sale was the extreme prices paid for crossbred hogget woo! of long sound staple. The prices realised were as follows: Super., lud to 12jd; medium to good, BJd to 9;d; inferior, 6Jd to 7|d. Half bred: Super,, lOjd to 12£ d; medium to good, Sd to IOdJ inferior, 6Jd to Tfd. Cro-sbrea: Super., IOJd to 13jd: good, Od to lOjd; medium, 6|d to s?d; inferior, od to 6£d. Taken ail round, the prices showed an advance on those realised last vear.
