Aria Sports.

• TO THE EDITOR.

Sir, —I would like to inform "Committeeman" (from whom a letter appeared re Aria Sports, in your issue of December 14th) that lam a committeeman, and that I was present at the meeting held at Aria on the 29th of March last. I would like "Committeeman" to state whether he remembers what took place at the meeting, if so, is it not a fact, that the Secretary promised to get the books audited by Mr Reardon, and that he would place a copy of balance sheet in some conspicuous place at Aria. This has not been done, and the subscribers to the Sports fund are still in ignorance of the financial strength of the Club, and the majority of subscribers are outside the comimttee. I would also like to inform "Committeeman" that I didn't wait for eight, months to make enquiries, and I wouldn't rush into print if I could get the desired information otherwise. .1 also see that a letter appears from the pen of the Secretary in which lie says that he cannot give us an up-to-date balance sheet, and that lie has not. yet received a balance slue! for the previous Sports. Well. Mr Editor. he may not have received a balance sheet;, but 1 know for a fact that the receipts and expenditure for previous Sports were read out. to him. and the book containing the entries relating hereto, was placed in front, of him. and at any time in which he likes to place a balance sheet showing receipts and expenditure for the ]!>o7 Sports before th.* public, the credit balance for the lflfHi Sports will be handed over to (lie Committee.- 1 am. etc., AIM A SETTLER.
