STOCK SALES.
The Farmers' Cooperative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report:—At Waihau last Friday 800 head of cattle,' 500 sheep, and 46 pigs were yarded. The 125 head of beef penned, mostly cows and heifers, sold readily. Weighty cows and heifers made £6 lis to £6 16s; lighter sorts, £4 9s to £5 15s; samll fat steers, £6 15s to £7; fresh conditoined empty cows, £3 8s to £3 16s; two and a half to three year steers, £4. 5s to £4 18s; two year steers, £3 12s to £4; 15 and 18 month steers, £2 15s to £3 ss; yearling steers, £2 2s to £2 16s; mixed yearlings, 27s 6d to 395; 18 month and two year empty heifers, £2 10s to £2l Ds; springing cows and heifers, £3 10s to £4 10s. Sheep: Fat ewes, lis to lis 6d; fat wethers, 12s; fat lambs lis 10d; forward lambs, 8s 9d. Pigs: Slips, 10s 3d to 14s. We held a clearing sale at Te Aroho on Saturday on account of Messrs Hintz Brothers, and report a successful sale. The dairy cows made from £5 to £7 15s; the best of the others, £3 5s to £4 15s; medium draught horse, £2B 10s; light draught, £lB 10s; harness horse, £23; hack, £9 10s.
