Projected Improvements.

Following the receipt of the information that the loan money for Te Kuiti town improvements was available for expenditure, the Chairman of the County Council, (Mr Jer. Ormsby) with the authority of the Council, instructed the Engineer to prepare specifications with a view to letting contracts for the work. The first work to, be undertaken is the formation of Rora Street, Sheridan Street and King Street. The main thoroughfare (Rora Street) is to be metalled to a width eif eighteen feet, and footpaths formed' and gravelled and wooden kcrbingtobe" put in. The other two streets are to be formed, graded, and have footpaths made. Work on the other streets in* eluded in the scheme is to be put in hand as soon as the necessary arrangements ca n be made. Needless to say, as little delay as possible will ensue, as it is fully recognised that in order to have the various streets put in order before next winter, the work will have to be pushed ahead energetically.durinffthe summer.
