An entertainment in aid of the Church of England was held in the Kail, Te Kuiti, last evening. There was a large attendance, and a highly varied programme was presented, the various items being rendered as follows:- -
Pianoforte solo, Mr F. Lawrence; vocal duet, "Army and Navy," Messrs Blackman and Trinnear; song, "The Toilers" Mrs Darrow; song, "In the Valley by the Sea," Mr Trinnear; song, "Cherry Ripe," Mrs Rouse; Violin solo, "Forget-Me-Not," Mr Gresham; tableau, "Tit for Tat," Miss Beaufort and Mr Aidney; song, " Good Company," Mr Blackman ; song, "With my Guitar," Miss Handyside;, vocal duet, "The Gypsy Duet." Mrs and Miss Melling; comic song, "The Parson and the Clerk," Mr Aidney; pianoforte solo, Miss Handyside; song, "Flight of Ages," Miss Dynsan ; song, "In Friendship,'■§> Name.''- Miss Jeffrey ; comic stoag, Mr Aidney ; song,"Topsy Turvey," Children; play, " Collaborations," Miss Duncan and Mr Derbyshire.
