PROGRESSIVE OTOROHANGA.

A Ne--« Ebslcess. A welcome addition to the accommodation houses of the King Country is the new boardinghouse recently opened at Octrohas'-n by Mr J. H. Newton. The new building, which bears the appropriate name of "Km Kainui" fronts the railway station, and is extremely convenient i'cr travellers and visitors. If comprises thirty rooms, of which twenty are bed rooms, which are furnished in excellent style. There are two private sitting rooms, besides a very comfortable smoking room. Fro-vi-don is also made for business people in the shape >f an office on the ground door which is furnished with ail the material necessary for the convenience of business customers. A line roomy dining room occupies one wing of the ground boor, and the establishment has already acquired a name for the excellence of its menu. The house throughout is fitted with all the modern convenience-, the bathrooms having hot and cold water supplies, ■'while special attention is paid to the accommodation of families. A spacious balcony occupies the front of the upper storey, from which a line view of the surounding country is obtained. The building is undoubtedly an acquisition to Otorohanga, and the proprietor is to be congratulated upon the manner in "which it has been laid cff. That a fair share of the public patronage will be devoted to Kaikainui is only in the natural order of things and the existence of such an up-to-date house is an attraction to the town.
