STOCK SALES.
The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering- Company, Limited, report as follows: — At Matamata on Wednesday last, we offered 735 head of cattle, 442 sheep, 54 pigs and a number of horses. We had 700 shorn wethers in addition to above advertised, and buyers attended but owner apparently overlooked sale day, otherwise no doubt he would have acquainted us. There was a fair enquiry and nearly all stock was sold but the sale was nothing like as briskas the previous day's Ghaupo sale. Choice 2 year old dairy cows £3 to £3 lis; 2 year old steers £3 13s to £4 ss; fat cows £5 to £5 103; store cows £2 10s to £3; yearling steers £2 2s 6d to £2 9s; mixed yearlings £1 15s to £2; smaller sorts 26s 6d to 30s; yearling bulls from W. C. Ring, s|gs. to 10gs.; forward woolly wethers 16s; woolly hoggets lis lid; shorn ewes with lambs, 14s 9d; cull woolly hoggets 8s 2d.
