CORRESPONDENCE.

UNIVERSAL HOLIDAYS.

TO THE EDITOR, j Sir, —With the object of determining a unanimity of opinion onthe queßtion of holidays in the township, II would suggest that a small Committee 1 " of shopkeepers be formed to settle this matter. Under existing circumstances the want of supervision has left this matter to each individual shopkeeper, and in consequence a feeling of uncertainty exists as to recognised holidays. The solving of this difficulty at this early stage will tend to promote a bettor business understanding amongst the present and future residents.—l am, etc., CHARLES F. TURNER.
