COLEMAN'S ENTERTAINERS.
It is a pleasant duty to have to record that the first public entertainment in the new hall, Te Kuiti, was in every way worthy of the occasion, and the excellent audience which greeted Coleman's Entertainers on Saturday evening last evinced its unqualified ap]sreciation in no uncertain manner. From the lifting of the curtain to the end of the performance interest was main-tained,-*the various items being up to a high standard. Madame Blanche Carelli, who is described as Ireland's Queen of Seng, was in splendid voice, and gave a perfect rendering of her various items, the old favorite, " Killarney," being especially well received. Miss Nellie Power, comedienne and soubrette, provided some laughter making items, and appeared to advantage in her various characters, her acting showing splendid versatility and vim. Mr Will Campbell, the descriptive vocalist was a distinct success, as was the famou? comedian, Mr Bob. Lloyd, who had to respond to numerous recalls, and by special request finished his turn with his well known character song. "We Parted on the Shore." The cinematograph portion of the entertainment comprised a fine series of pictures showing lifo and scenes in Ireland, concluding with the humorous representations, "The Nursemaids Strike," and "The Runnaway Horse." The company is to return to Te Kuiti very shortly, having booked the Hall for October 7th, and they can rest assured of being welcomed by a "bumper" house. On its return it will be strengthened by the inclusion of Mr Phil. Levarto, who is at present nightly mystifying Auckland audiences at Fuller's with feats of jugglery. Levato is styled the Australian Cinquevalli, and is said to act up to his reputation. Altogether, the Te Kuiti public are promised a specially attractive performance on the next visit of Coleman's Entertainers.
