TARANAKI LAND BOARD.

The usual monthly meeting of the Taranaki Land Board was held on September 15th. The Commissioner, Mr F. Simpson, presided, and there were also present: Messrs Heslop, Connett, Rattenbury and McCluggage. The following business affecting the King Country was transacted: — Transfers:—J. Magenisto H. Chapman, section 22, block 14, Aria; J. B. Carter toJ. B. and W. A. Carter, section. 22, blccklo, Aria; H. Craven to H. Craven and D. Mcßae, section 2, Bblcck 1, Ohura. Exemption: The application of M. Clark for exemption from residence on section .1, block 1, Ohura, on the grounds that there was no suitable building site on the section, was granted, exemption being given for a period of two years. Mangapapa Creamery:—The Board decided to sell, at the price of £lO, about an acre of section 8, block 12, Aria, for a creamery site. Leases Issued: —It was decided to issue leases to the following Improved Farm Settlers:—J. Harris, section 9, block, 1 Aria; T. Bell, sectionlO, block 2,*Ohura; J. Mabey, sections 14 and 15*, block 13, Ohura. General: — The Ohura Medical Association submitted that a quarter of an acre was insufficient for a medical officer's residence and the necessary out-buildings, and asked that the Board should reconsider its decision to sell only one section in Mangaroa. It was resolved that section3, block 1, town of Mangaroa, should be disposed of to the association for £lO.

The Commissioner reported that section 8, block 12, Aria, had been reallotted, and submitted the proposed price per acre. —Approved. A schedule of selectors who had not complied with the conditions as to residence was laid on the table. Action was taken as follows: —Snow and Olsen, section 5, block 7, Aria, deficient improvements further extension of six months granted; Anderson and Burns, section 4, blockl 0, Waro, deficient improvements, three months' extension granted; W. Chaytor, section 5, block 14, Ohura, extension of time granted.
