Mr Galbraith Wratten of Kai Kuri, Waitomo, has been appointed by Captain Edwin, Government Meteorologist to keep the rainfall statistics for the district. Such records, beside being of interest, are extremely useful to farmers and we shall be glad to publish the records periodically. Mr Wratten has forwarded the figures for August, during which month 7.64 inches were recorded.
