KING COUNTRY REQUIREMENTS.
[By Telegraph.] Wellington, Thursday. In reference to the complaints made to Mr. Jennings by settlers in Ratanui. and other King Country townships, being kept back owing to non-telling of bush the Minister for Lands informs the member that sums will be provided on the Estimates for felling and grassing the same this year. The position of Te Kuiti . Domain was enquired into, and the Minister will provide the sum of twenty-five pounds subsidy, for work on the Domain. Enquiries by many settlers to Mr. Jennings, as to what price angora goats will be supplied by the Government, Minister says he is unable to quote price of any for sale as the demand is so great he is unable to supply the wants of the settlers just at present. The request of Waitomo County for alterations to time table of express train between Auckland and Wellington was presented by the member to th& Minister for Railways, who replied that the matter would receive careful consideration.
