The Secret of Good Dressing.
Can a woman who does not inherit a naturally artistic sense be taught to dress with good taste ? This is the most important question Monsieur Worth, the famous Parisian dress designer, discusses in the July issue of " The New Idea." and answers in the affirmative. lie gives certain well defined rules by which woman of average intelligence may learn to dress to the very best advantage, if not always in the very latent style. The article is one of several line special features that form the backbone of the current " New Idea." In addition to these, there are a number of excellent short stories, and two very amusing and entertaining serial talcs, notably "The Flirtatious oi Four," which is by Henrietta Serjeant, and promise.! to be a distinct addition to Australian literature. The regular departments are replete with good thing's; indeed, the July issue is what the editor claims for it - -the best number of " The New Idea " thai has ever been published. As usual, three useful, up-to-date paper patterns are given away with every copy.
The expression "I will eat my hat" is likely to lose favour with those people who always otter to perform some wonderful feat in the event of their pronounced opinions being proved incorrect.
