TARANAKI LAND BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Tara-, naki Land Board was held at New Plymouth on July 2ist, There were present: The Commissioner, Messrs Hesioo, Rattenbury, Connett and McCiuggage, Transfers Recommended: J. F. Coventry to C. J. Coventry, section 8, block 6, Aria ; P. and R. Bond to G. C. Stevenson, section 14, block.. 5, Ohura. In respect to the application for a transfer of section 5, ,bloek7, Aria, from Snow and Olesen to W. and H. J. Olesen, it v/as decided to recommend the transfer for approval when improvements are up-to-date. Leases Issued : The following applied to have- their leases issued : W. Print, section 15, block 10, Ohura; E. Owens, section 10, block 12, Aria ; R. Wallace, section 2, block 9, Totoro; P.. M. Dunn, section IL, block 12, Aria : F. Julian, Section 5, Block 3, Ohura ; H. Geange, section 6, Block 13. Ohura; E. J. Smith, Section 6, Block 16, Aria. Forfeiture : H. Dougherty appealed against the forfeiture of section 16 block 13, Ohura. It was resolved that the forfeiture be suspended for six months, to be confirmed if improvements an not then up-to-date. Selectors in Default: D. West, section 13, block 9, Totoro, applied to have his son taken into partnership with him. —Approved, on condition that his son resided on the land. J. j McAvady, section 4, block 2, Ohura. — Application to live on section 6 refused, and applicant allowed six months in which to take up residence on his own section. S. Paddle, s.ectir.n 6 block 10, Totoro, non-resi-dence—Forfeited. T. S. Thomas, section 2, block 6, Aria, non-residence; —Notice to forfeit. Mrs Bessie Lovedav. section 2, block 2, Ohura, nonresidence.—Residence allowed on section --,. block 10, Chura. H. Ryan, section 13, block 13, Ohura, non-resi-dence. —Three months extension of time granted. W. Laws, section 7, "block 11, Aria, non-residence. — Six months extension of time granted. Elizabeth o ] d. section 17, block 14, Ohura, non-residence. —Residing on section 19 with her husband agreed to. E. Brannigan, section 25, jhlock 14, Ohura, lion - residence.— ihree N months extension allowed. G. J." Haggie, section 10, block 13, Ohura, non-residence.—lf not residing in a bona fide manner section to be forfeited. T. B. Waddeii, section 8, block 12."Aria, family not residing.— Interest of selector to be forfeited. S. Wind, section 15, block 12, Aria, non residence.—Three months extension granted. C. Joyce, section 10, block 9, Ohura, non-residence.—Deferred. J. B. Carter applied for a portion oi section 6, block I, Aria, to be added to section 22, b!ock_ls, Aria, to improve her access. —Refused. O. H. Currie asked that portion 01 section 5, block I, Ohura, originally surveyed into section 22, bioclc 2, be restored to to that section.—Refused.
