BY ORDER. VVaitomo County Council. TE KUITI TOWNSHIP SPECIAL RATING DISTRICT. SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE. Proposed by Councillor Onnshy and seconded by Councillor Hoffman : IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by " The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901," The Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows : THAT for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of Two Thousand pounds (£2000) authorised to be raised by the Waitomo County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purposes ef draining, constructing •:culverts, and forming and metalling streets and foot-paths, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of THREEHALF PENCE (I'-.d) in the Pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable propertv of the TE KUITI TOWNSHIP SPECIAL RATING DISTRICT, the boundaries of which are as follows :—Commencing at the western bank of the Mangaokewa Stream, at its intersection with the western boundary of the Railway (at railway bridge), thence southerly along "the western boundary of railway to its intersection with the northwest boundary of Te Kuiti Native Township, thence westward, southward, and eastward along the boundaries of the said Te Kuiti Native Township to the western bank of the Mangaokewa Stream (opposite the railway crossing at the south end of the Te Kuiti Railway Station), thence by the western bank of the Mangaokewa Stream to the point of commencement at railway bridge: and that such rate shall be an annualrecurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable in ONE SUM on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan (being a period of THIRTY-TWO YEARS), or until the loan is fully paid off. The interest to be paid at the rate of 4 per cent. The cost of raising the loan and the first year's interest thereon shall be paid out of the aforesaid sum of £2OOO. The foregoing Special Order passed by the Waitomo County Council at its Special Meeting held at Kerr's Boarding House. Te Kuiti, on the 16th day of June, 190S, will be submitted for confirmation to a meeting of the said Council to be held on the day of July, at the same place. JOHN ORMSBY, County Clerk. A Copy of the Bill (with a map of the proposed new County) has been deposited in the Magistrate's Court at Matierc and is now open to public inspection.
