Mr W. T. Jennings, member for the district, paid a visit to Te Kuiti rhis week, arriving on Monday and leaving for Ohura via _ Aria, on Thursday. In conversation with the Chronicle representative, Mr Jennings stated that with regard to the fencing of the railway beyond Puketutu, the Department is putting in panels, so that when the road boundaries ave defined the' necessary *?rb<y. ings may be put in. also received word from the Minister for Education that if schools for Pio Pio and Mangapehi are recommended by the Education Board, the Minister will favourably consider the applications.
