The above races came off.on Tuesday of last week, but owing to the (lenient weather they were not so successful as was anticipated. However, in spite of the poor attendance the committee report that they only suilerial a loss of 4s. The following are the winners of the vajjflus races : Hurdles--Kaipara I, '■fcteri 2. Maiden--Tumokemoke I, Rewatu2 Cup Kaipara I, Roi 2. Smoking Race—Kohatu I, Wera .2. Trotting Race—Piopio I, Rewatu 2.
