' ryv A i: Dominion paragraph a day or two ago made reference to a seaside place, in the Hawke's Bay district, called by the charming Maori name, Tamatauwhakatangihangakoauau. Mr C. R. Parata says this js .an abbreviated form of the name. In full it is Tamatauwhakatangihangakoauaotanenuiarangikitanatahu. Mr Parata's translation is, "The hill on which Taneuiarangi (the husband of heaven) played his 'fliite to his belayed.''
