The first land ballot under the new Land Act took place at Auckland on Tuesday last, when sections to the number of twenty in North Auckland, Raglan and King Country districts were ballotted for. Great interest was evinced in the ballot, and applicants were numerous for all the King Country sections. The ballot for sections in Waitomo Connty resulted as follows:

Section 6, Block IV., Orahiri S.D., 199 acres 36 applicants, W. Davidson. Sections I and 12, Block XII., Otanakc S.D. 359 acres, 61 applicants, John B. Milner. Sections 2 and 3, Block XII., Otanakc S.D., 328 acres, 61 applicants, S. Leigh. Sections 5 and 10, Block XII., Otanake S.D., 361 acres 46 applicants, F. L. Milliard.

Sections 7 and 9, Block XII., Otanakc S.D., 360 acres, 50 applicants George Brown.
