NAPIER WOOL SALE.
Prices Maintained. The second wool sale of the season, held at Napier on Tuesday last, was much more successful than the first. Bidding was spirited, and the prices of the December sale was fully maintained, being a shade higher for special lots. The condition of the wool offered was much heavier than last year, owing to the dry weather. The demand for lambs' wool was keen, and in some" cases the bidding, which opened at sd, 'went to gd. Locks and pieces sold well. The following were the average prices realisee : —Superior half-bred, to ll%d ; fine crossbred, B%d to 9%d; coarse crossbred, bright and well conditioned, 8d to 9d; inferior, 9%d to BMd. Lambs' wool, good, bright conditioned, 8d to 9d ; inferior to medium, 6V 2 6. to 7J^d; locks, to 7%d ; inferior mediums, to 6d,
