TE KUITI SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
The usual monthly meeting of the School Committee was held in Mr F. H. Sims'boardinghouse on Tuesday evening last. There were present: Messrs J. Ormsby (Chairman), Seymour, Plier, and Coggins. A letter was received from the Education Board stating that the fencing, and improvements to the teacher's residence had been referred to the architect.
The headmaster reported that the ventilator covers were falling off, and it was decided that the Chairman be authorised to have the work attended to.
The Chairman reported that the grubbing of the sahool ground had not been satisfactorily completed by the contractor, and that the work had to befinished by Mr Bowlin. It was decided to deduct the sum of ten shillings from the contractor's price to cover the cost of completing the work. Accounts to the amount of £9 14s 7d, were passed for payment. It Was resolved to meet on Monday, November nth, for the purpose of considering ways and means of enterthe school children at the end of the. current year.
