MEDICAL FUND MEETING.
ELECTION OF NEW "COMMITTEE.
A meeting of subscribers to the Te Kuiti District Medical Fund was held in Hetet's Hall, on Tuesday evening last, when there was a good attendance. Mr g, I-J, Hardy, Chairman of £he Committee, occupied the chair, and explained that the object of the meeting was. to receive the report of the outgoing Committee. The Secretary, Mr J. Ormsby, submitted the report, which showed that subscribers to the number of about 130 had guaranteed their support, and that the Government had promised to contribute a subsidy of £SO if £IOQ was subscribed, or £IOO if &5Q© was subscribed.
On the motion of Mr Boddie, seconded by Mr- Rutherford, it was resolved that the report of the outgoing Committee be accepted, and that they be heartily thanked for their services in having practically brought the movement ia the point of success. ejection of a new Committee was tfeea proceeded with, and, on the motion of Mr Cornish, seconded by Mr Johnston, it was decided that the committee should consist of seven members and a secretary* Mr T, Qymsby moved that the new committee should hold office for 12 months, and that prior to the end of their term of office should call a meeting of subscribers, and report on all matters in connection with the Fund. Seconded by Mr Forsyth, and carried. It was further resolved, on the motion of Mr Forsyth, seconded by Mr Morgan, that four members of the Committee should form a quorum, the Chairman to have a casting vote. The following were elected members of the new Committee : Rev. R« Mitchell, Messrs Boddie, Forsyth, Cornish, Seymour, Rountree, and, Blaekman.
