ORANGE BLOSSOMS.

Wedding at Matiere.

A very pretty wedding took place in the Hall, Matiere, on Wednesday, September iith, when Annie Isabelle, ' second daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Simmons, of Ohura boarding-house was marriedto Mr Harold Doar. The Rev. E. Ward, of Taumarunui, performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a dove grey silk voile gown and crettelle coattee elaborately embroidered ; her veil, of embroidered tulle, was sumounted by a wreath of orange blossom. She carried a magnificent shower bouquet of choice flowers. The bridesmaids were Miss Georgina and Lizzie Simmons (sisters of the bride) and were attired in cream voile costumes and picture hats. The bridegoom was attended by Mr L. R. Hill, as best man. The ceremony, the first to be solemnised in the Ohura,-was witnessed by a number of residents interested in the young couple; the wedding party being subsequently entertained at a sumptuous wedding repast by the parents of the bride (Mr and Mrs Hyde acting as hpst and hostess) who also gave a large party in the evening in honour of the event. The wedding presents were both costly and numerous, and the young couple take with them the best wishes of the community for their future happiness and ' welfare, Mr and Mrs Doar wish to heartily thank all their friends for the beautiiul presents they received.
