The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report as follows :

On July 27th, at Te Awamutu, we held our monthly sale, and had a gcod yarding of cattle. Everything sold. Well-bred steers £4 to £4 15s, yearling steers £2 to £2 is, empty 18months heifers £2 ss, good steer calves £l 14s, others 14s to 265, fresh cows and heifers £3 3s to £3 9s, fat cows £5 15s. Pigs.—Weaners 8s to I2s 6d, slips 145 to I/s, grown pig £3 10s. Horses. — Unbroken draught colts rising 3 years £l9, spring cart mare £25.

At Paterangi, on Monday, we held a clearing sale on account of Mr R. T. Millar. The dairy cows were mostly two months off calving, and sold from £3 12s to £8 15s, choice heifers near profit £5 5s to £6, 3-year draught filly, by Chief Commander £3O, 2-year draught £lB, aged draught mares £2O, other clients cows made £3 5s to £7, pony £l3 lOs, waggon £22. All farm sundries made full prices.

On Tuesday, July 30th, we held our Ohaupo Sale, and yarded 500 store cattle and 156 dairy cows and heifers. Brisk competition ruled throughout, everything selling.
