. .$. — The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report as follows : On Monday, 15 th July, we held a clearing sale of daiiy cows, farm implements, furniture, etc., at Tamahere on account of Mr John McFarlane, and a good sale resulted. The dairy cow sold at from £6 to £8 15s for those at profit or due to calve in August. Others to calve in October, £4 10s and £5 15s ; choice heifers, near profit, £5 to £5 I2s 6d ; bulls, £2 10s to £4; aged, active draught geldings, £l6 to £lB 10s; buggy mare, £l3 ss; cob, £l3 15s; yearling foal by Young Salisbury, £ll; dog cart, £ls ; harness, £6 ; spring eart. £ls ; other implements made full market prices. On Tuesday, July 16th, at Ohaupo, we yarded 470 head of well-bred cattle and 1700 ewes in lamb and 300 hoggets. Fresh steers, £5 5s to £6; well-grown 18-month steers, £2 14s to £3 5s ; 12-month steers, £l 13s to £2 ; strong calves, £1 4s to £1 9s ; choice heifer calves, £l 5s ; empty 2-year-old beifers, £2 5s to £3 ; fresh cows, £2 10s to £3 18s : 1200 ewes in lamb, 14s 9d to 15s ; 400 ewes, 9s to ios 6d ; hoggets, I2s 5d to I2s ios.-
