MANGAROA.
It has been finally decided to open the Mangaroa Town Hall on April 26th. The opening will take the form of a concert, farce, and cLnce, the ladies kindly providing a sit-down supper. Everything is lrcvrng apace, and promises a very enjoyable evening. We are expecting a visit from the Hon. Mr McNab, Minister of Lands, during the early part of April, the exact date of his arrival not being known at present. Ohura Valley is moving rapidly and it is quite common to meet eight or nine waggons wending their way to Ohura, laden with stores, wire and seed", and it is hoped, in the near future, that we will meet mobs of fat sheep, cattle, and waggon loads of butter moving toward the outside market. This means real prosperity to those who have carved out . their homes in the back blocks. It is pleasing to find, that others, out side of ourjdistrict, are moving in the matter .of getting the railway started from Gngarue. No stone should be left unturned to keep this matter before the Minister.
