Mr W. Kenderdine, of Auckland, paid a visit to Taumarunui at Easter. The Rev. C. J. Bush, of Taumarunui, has been transferred to North Auckland, and will preach his farewell sermon on April 14th. Sergeant Stapleton, of Hamilton, who has just retired from the Police force, was the recipient of a presentation from the members of the Waikato force, last week. Mr W. R. Blow, officer-in-charge of the Auckland Tourist Department, paid a visit to Waitomo Caves during Easter. Mr H. T. Gibson, teacher at Te Mata School, has been elected a fellow of the Meteorological Society (England). The appointment of Messrs Andrew Kelly and Stephenson Percy Smith, as members of the Mokau River Trust, has been gazetted.
