RAILWAY AND POSTAL FACILITIES.

Special Correspondent. Auckland, This day. Mr Jennings, M.H.R., interviewed the District Traffic Manager for Railways yesterday, re better facilities being provided at Te Kuiti railway station. Mr Waite is to visit the district this week in connection with the. matter. The member for the district also interviewed the Chief Postmaster and brought forward the unsuilability of the present accommodation of the Post-office. This and the double line of telephone to Mahoenui are to be proceeded with at once. Other matters brought under the notice of Mr Jennings by the Te Kuiti Vigilance Committee, have been sent on to the departments concerned, and backed up by strong recommendations from the member.
