On February 9th, at Matapuna, the marriage of Mr J. B. Mills and Miss R. Mudgway was celebrated, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. J. E. Ward. The bride, who was dressed in a charming white bridal costume, was given away by her father, Mr G. Mudgway, and Mr Mudgway, jun., officiated as best man. When taking his. departure from Australia last week, Sir Joseph Ward was asked by the press representatives for a special message to Australia. " Make Australia white, and keep it white," was the significant reply. STEAM ON THE FARM. The demand for a simple and inexpensive appliance for generating superheated steam on the farm has at last been met by the introduction of the " New Century Steamer". By its use, milk cans and all Dairy appliances can be thoroughly steamed in a few moments, while for cooking stock foods, potatoes, and even for boiling water in the laundry, the " New Century" has no equal for quick steaming and economical firing. No farmer can afford to be without one of these great labour savers. They are also very suitaple for small Cheese makers, butchers, or anyone requiring a copious supply of hot water or steam. For full particulars, apply to J. B. MacEwan and Co., Ltd., Fort-street Auckland.
