The N.X. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., report : At Ohaupo on January 15th we had a fair yarding, notwithstanding the bad weather. Grown steers made good prices, well-bred forward bullocks realising .10 10s to £7 3s ; 3-year old steers, £5 2s to £5 l/s; coarse 2.!2 year steers, £4 3s ; 2-year steers £3 5s to £.:) ; yearlings, £2 K> to £3 3s ; At Hamilton on the 2,jth, we had a full yarding. Bidding was dull at t|)e hammer, but all the steers were sol<| afterwards at satisfactory prices. Fat cows and heifers made up to£,S 12s (id ; 3 to 3'.:-> ear steers, £5 to £() /|s ; 2 to 2 1 2-year steers, £.j to £,| 10s; fresh cows, £2 Jss to £3 12s (>d ; store cows, £l /s 6d to £2; choice heifers, at calving, £5 to .CO Ss ; ewes and lambs 10s 2d, all counted : 2-tooth ewes and wethers, 16s to 16s 3d ; fat and forward lambs, 10s to lis 3d. At Cambridge, on the 25th, prices were fully maintained. Good calves brought £l to £l 10s ; smaller lots, iSs to £l 2s (id ; fat wethers and ewes up to l/s 6d ; iresh full-mouth ewes, 13s 6d to 16s; Aged ewes, «Ss (><l |6 lis ; store lambs, <)s to 10s ; culls, Bs.
On Wednesday, January 3otl|, at Te Kuili, we yarded (\s(> lira*l of cattle. There was a large attendance (if buyers (Void Waikato and neighbourhood, and good competition ruled throughout, with the result lha( every pen was sold cither at tin' hammer, or afterwards at satisfactory prices, excepting a line of, iK-monlli heifers and one pen of .-'..-year steers.
