TAUMARUNUI.

The new road to Rangaroa is now almost completed, and owners of sections on the upland suburb will have decent access to their holdings. It is stated that several new residences will shortly be erected at Rangaroa. A cricket match between Taumarunui and Matapuna was played on the Recreation Ground on Jaunary 27th and resulted in a win for the local team- by an innings and 37 runs, Messrs Sarah, Hill, Bell, and Campbell batted well, and Kiniveton bowled splendidly for Taumarunui. For the losers Thorn and Parker with the bat, and Mentiplay with the ball performed most successfully.
