Owing to a variety of circumstances, over which the Sports Committee has no control, it has been decided to postpone the sports meeting advertised for the 29th of January, to Saturday, March 16th. Competitors who may not wish to compete on that date may, by applying to the Secretary of the Sports Committee, have their entrance money refunded. Mr Baker, the newly appointed clerk in the Roads Department office Te Kuiti, arrived here from Wellington last week. Mr Julian's son has also received an appointment to this office.
