MANUNUI.
The lccal school committee has received an intimation from the Education Board that a school iuspector will be amongst them shortly to enquire into and report on school matters. On Thursday of last week the first log was cut at Messrs Ellis and Burnand's mill. Everything went off without a hitch, the machinery all working well. Rather a sad accident happened to a four-year-old child of MrMcCowan's one day last week. The little child had the misfortune to break its arm, the result of falling off a bed. Mr Kenderdine, of Taumarunui, attended the sufferer who, we understand, is progressing favourably.
