STOCK SALES.

The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report as follows : Last week we held most successful sales at Ohaupo, Hamilton and Cambridge. Notwithstanding the rain at Ohaupo, a large number of buyers were present, and prices were' quite up to late rates. Fresh 3% and 4-year bullocks realised from £6 to £6 19s; one extra pen fetched £7 18s ; fresh 3-year steers, £5 2s 6d to £5 15s ; 2%-year steers, £4 7s 6d to £4 15s ; 18-months-old steers, £2 10s to £2 17s 6d ; good yearlings, £l 18s to £2 7s; this season's calves (male), 14s to 17s ; 100 yearling to 15-months heifers from Te Akau, £1 13s to £2. The 500 sheep advertised brought: 103 fullmouth ewes and lambs, 19s 3d; forward wethers, 17s; 2-tooth wethers, 15s 9d ; forward ewes, 114s 3d to 14s 9d. At Hamilton over 1000 head were yarded and everything sold. Best beef realized £8 15s to £9 I2s 6d; 3-year steers, £5 to £5 18s ; 18-months steers, £2 I2s 6d-to £3 Is ; yearlings, £l 17s 6d to £2 Bs. Pigs—We had a large entry of pigs. Weaners, 12s to 16s; slips, 18s to 20s ; small pigs, 7s 6d to 10s. At Cambridge there was a full yarding of all classes and all sold. Grown cattle maintained market prices. Good yearling steers, £l 19s to £2 ss; ewes and lambs,£l 2s 3d; empty ewes, 15s; fat wethers, 19s ; weaner pigs, I2s 6dto 15s.
