Judge H. D. Johnson, of the Native Land Court, has resigned his position. Mr and Mrs D. Bruce, of Ohura, whose wedding has just been celebrated returned to the King Country on Tuesday. Mr F. Haselden, who stood for • Wanganui last election, is already mentioned as a candidate for Egmont at the next general election. Inspector Cullen has just been on a visit of inspection to Taumarunui. During his stay he visited Waimeha, and had a couple of days fishing. Mr W. W. McCardle has "been elected Chairman and MrJ.K. Newton Secretary of the newly elected Town Board at Kawhia. The names of Messrs C. H. Hope, W. K. Williams, G. Loveday, G. S.. Stevenson, and H. Craven, have been Gazetted as trustess for the Mangaroa Cemetery, Ohura.
