Bishop Lenihan' passed through Taumarunui on Monday last en route for Wellington. Mr Greenslade, M.H.R., accompanied by Mrs Greenslade, returned to the Waikato on Tuesday.' MrT. Burd, District Road Engineer, is still confined to bed with a severe attack of influenza, though he is slowly improving. Mr A. Julian has been given charge of the southern portion of the road, district from the northern boundary of the Egmont electorate, to the Taranaki provincial boundary. The Hon. J. Carroll is now on a fair way to recovery from his recent severe illness. Accompanied by Mrs Carroll, the Native Minister journeyed from Wellington to Gisborne at the beginning of the week.
