HANGATIKI.
On November l6th, Mr Crowe paid his annual visit to the Hangatiki Public School. The pupils all passed except one, and Mr Crowe expressed satisfaction at the work done. He recommended that the floor of the tent be levelled, and covered about six inches deep with sawdust. This will shortly be done, much to the improvement of the school.
Last Friday, several thousand trout were liberated, partly in the Mangaokewa and partly in the Mangorinau. This should be a valuable addition to both rivers as the trout are in very congenial waters.
