Bush felling cperations have been carried on during the past season, many of the settler's having had areas ranging from 40 to 120 acres cleared. Thesettlers are thoroughly alive to the necessity of good roads, and a meeting is to be held on Saturday, November ioth, to consider the advisability of raising a loan for forming the Caves road to Hauturu and the surrounding districts.
