SINGULAR BALLOON ACCIDENT.

New York, Nov. 2. Dr Thomas, an aeronaut in Georgia, was about to alight after making a perilous ascent, ami as he was holding the lipping cord in one hand the balloon suddenly reascended 1000 ft. Dr Thomas climbed the coni inch by inch, ripped the gas envelope,and alighted safely, though he was dragged some distance through the entanglement of the cordage.
