Cape Politics.

Capetown, Feb 12 Up to the present 34 Progressives and 27 Bond candidates have bfeen elected. Sprigg (Premier), Merriman (ex-Treasurer), and Douglass (Commissioners of Public Works) are among those defeated. Smartt, leader of the Progressives, has been elected. Feb 14 Elections resulted in return of 45 Progressives and 45 Bond candidates. There are still 5 seats outstanding. Sauer, Commissioner of Works, has been defeated.
