GENERAL NEWS.
London, Dec 28 The Mullah has desired the captain of the Italian cruiser Christofen Colombo to mediate with the British. The captain thinks that the Mullah is trying to gain time in order to gather provisions. Admiralty informed the Italian Minister of Marine that it heartily welcomed the honour conferred on Commander Gaunt for his generous initiative and gallantry.
