Cardinal Moran’s Charges.

FANSHAWE’S COMMENT. Sydney, March 18 Vice-Admiral Fanshawe, in acknowledging the receipt of a copy of the petitions praying for an enquiry into Cardinal Moran’s charges against British officers and seamen in Samoa, says it is impossible for him to notice the slanderous ami ridiculous attacks by irresponsible persons against officers and men of the Royal Navy, whose character is too well known to suffer from such scurrilous statements, which, his Excellency adds, can only be treated with deserved contempt.
