ADDINGTON MARKET.
Christchurch, Alarch 19 Alessrs Pyne A Co. report on yesterday’s market as follows : The entry at Addington yestera record one, 40,000 «lieep being yarded, including a large entry of fat sheep. There was a demand for good sorts, but inferior were hard to quit. Freezing wethers made 15 7 to 18/9 ; wethers and maiden ewes 15/6 to 16'7; freezing ewes 117 to 14/6 ; butcher’s ewes 14 -to 16/10 and over. Large entry of fat lambs, last week s rates being fully maintained. Prime freezers 13, - to 15/6 ; tegs 16/to 17/10 ; butchers’ lots 11/- to 15/. Twenty-four thousand three hundred store sheep were yarded, the bulk being ewes of mixed quality, wethers and lambs were also plentiful. Despite the large yarding prices ware fairly well maintained, all first-class sheep selling well; 4tooth ewes 15,6 ; 4 and 6-tooths 15,-3 ; 2, 4 and 6-tooths 12/- to 12/10 ; ambs 8/- to 11/-.
