Eleven candidates have been nominated for seats on the Hurunui Licensing Committee. The polling for the election of five of them takes place next Thursday—20th. in st. There were 243 tickets sold in connection with the weight-guess-ing competition at the St. Patrick’s Day sports, the proceeds amounting to £l2 3s. This sum will be devoted to a fund being raised for the purpose of erecting a Roman Catholic Church at Huudalee.
